SPOTD Rules & Artist Guide
Welcome to SPOTD — the game-changing platform where emerging artists get their shine.
Whether you’re uploading bangers from your bedroom or polished visuals ready for prime time, SPOTD is your stage to get seen, heard, and maybe even signed. Here’s how it all works:
The Competition
SPOTD runs four competitions per year, each lasting three months. At the end of each season:
- The Top 5 artists on the leaderboard enter the final judges’ vote
- 1st place wins studio time with Hotel Torino to write a track together, presented to:
- Top Polish radio stations
- Leading labels for potential signing
- Places 2–5 win exclusive prizes to be announced before each competition starts
- The winning song may be signed on a trial basis for 3 months
- If the label loves it, they can extend the deal — SPOTD just connects you; negotiations are 100% between artist and label
You can join as many seasons as you want — new comp, fresh shot.
How to Earn Points
Climb the leaderboard by engaging with SPOTD:
- Upload MP3s or videos
(more points for video uploads — plus visibility on the Video Wall) - Complete streaks (listed in your sidebar)
- Win badges, complete challenges, and collect Gold Coins (which hold actual value on the platform)
- Share, react, message, and participate — it all adds up
Your points, streaks, and coins are all tied to your profile. Keep it active to stay on top.
Upload Types
You can upload:
- Originals (recommended)
- Covers (okay for general upload, but not eligible for Starpower)
Videos get more visibility and points — they hit the SPOTD Video Wall and catch the eye of producers faster.
Starpower (Premium Feature)
Got a banger that deserves attention? Use Starpower to send your original song directly into an artist’s or label’s inbox.
If they like it, they can:
- Reach out to collaborate
- Invite you to write the final version at Hotel Torino
- Or even license the track to their library
Note: Starpower songs are originals only.
They stay in inboxes for 30 days — no reply? Re-send or pitch another.
SPOTD doesn’t guarantee a response — but trust us, they’re watching.

SPOTD’s official music partner is Hotel Torino, one of Poland’s elite creative studios. If you win:
- You get time with their top producers
- They’ll help co-write a final version of your song
- The track gets pitched to Polish radio stations
- If it’s a hit, it might get signed — and you’re in
Masterclasses & Coaching
All users can access SPOTD’s growing Masterclass Section — featuring content from Hotel Torino’s best:
- Songwriting techniques
- Beatmaking tricks
- Vocal training & instrument lessons
- Music biz strategy & label deal prep
Premium users get 20% off, plus certificates for completed lessons and exclusive badges like “Hook God” or “Vocal Queen.”
Licensing & Royalties
Original uploads (audio and video) may be selected for:
- SPOTD Official Spotify Playlist
- Hotel Torino Licensing Library
If selected:
- You’ll be contacted and asked to approve inclusion
- Your track may be pitched or sold to top labels looking to expand their libraries
- If the song is used or sold, you’ll receive a royalty percentage
By uploading to SPOTD, you agree that your originals can be considered for licensing and playlist inclusion.
You’ll always be notified before any deals are finalized, and terms will be clearly presented.
Community Vibe Check
SPOTD is here for serious artists, creative energy, and no BS. Our vibe rules:
- Respect the grind — support each other
- No spam, trolling, or fake streams
- Covers must follow copyright law (no unauthorized beats)
- Anyone violating the vibe gets bounced. Period.
Verification & Profiles
Want to stand out? Get Verified Artist status by:
- Uploading 3+ tracks
- Completing 5+ streaks
- Linking your socials
More trust, more exposure, more chances to be seen.
Copyright & DMCA Notice
- You must own rights to any original content uploaded
- Covers are allowed, but must not use copyrighted instrumentals without permission
- All flagged content will be removed in line with DMCA rules
